About Us.
Hello loves, my name is Brittany but PLEASE, call me Britt. When I formerly introduced myself I found it to be challenging. Yes I’m a wife, mom, registered nurse, and most importantly a lover of Christ; and while I embody and embrace each of those titles I still struggled with feeling valuable. Now that I find myself closing in on my bejeweled 20s I feel that I KNOW who I am now more than I ever have and that, my coffee-loving friends, has felt impeccable. I would be doing myself a disservice if I also didn’t claim the titles of a plant lover, baker, and creator of as many homemade goods as possible! To all my mommy’s who haven’t found a hobby of their own; after being lost in motherhood, these have been my favorite things. While my 9-5 is being a Nurse Case Manager, (which I also L O V E), I enjoy every opportunity I get to help and pour into the cups ready to receive whatever God will give through me. Last but not least, I am also honored to be a sister, daughter, and friend to some amazing people!
Together, we, John and Britt Horsley, are a loving blackity black couple that married in 2015, just two years after graduating high school. We weren’t certain about many things when we met, but the passion we felt for one another was undeniable. I dare not call what we experienced love, after all of this time we know that the lust was real!
But thank God for growth, mercy, and grace! If you haven’t done the math yet, we have been married for 9 years and counting & we truly love it here. We grew up very differently, but that has not been a problem in our love for one another or our beautiful children. We are parents to four beautiful young ladies and gentlemen who we are raising to love Jesus and be good citizens in this crazy world. We have endured trials as a unit and as individuals. John has been in the military, allowing me to be a military wife (a dream, after all, I was a military brat used to the benefits!). John and I have been in good seasons and bad, but for better or worse we have stood beside each other, with God in the center, rain or shine. We’d have to write a book if you really wanted the entire story, but we will leave you getting to know us more up to the podcast, blog, and YouTube channel. What’s up coffee lovers, this is Johnathan, everyone just calls me John. I am a very old young man. People have always told me I had an old soul. Now, my kids tell me I have an old back. I love the arts. From music to painting and everything in between. I love making music and listening to it. All genres are welcome. I love writing poems and reading them. I did write a book called, Transparency. I love being an artist and admiring the work of others. I am a dedicated father and a faithful husband to that good thang you see in the picture with me. I love my family and I pour all that I am into them. Most importantly I love my God. He has done so many things in my life and I couldn't thank him enough if I tried, but that won't stop me from trying.
